From the idea of a wooly dog, the gos d'atura, and also thinking about Julian, a character who appeared one day in a cartoon of the Garriris.
The Duplex stool was originally designed for the Dúplex bar in Valencia, Spain, planned by Mariscal and Fernando Salas in 1980. For many critics, the shape of this stool, with its five lines holding together by pure chance, symbolises Mariscal's work. "... This stool is for people feeling restless, such as when chatting with someone. It is ironic. It is an object that has been in a fight, or out drinking", explains its author.
