Poster made for the celebration of the popular French cigarette brand. The Gitanes packages were designed by Maurice Giot. It contains Spanish symbols such as the tambourine and the mantilla.
During the Second World War, the gypsy dancer represented the brand; Mollusons designed it, with its wide skirt, and later Max Ponty revised the design, partly hiding the dancer between volutes of white smoke.
Mariscal contributed his particular vision when it comes to representing this iconic image of the 20th century.
